I even gave YONF a tour of the "decluttered" bathroom when she came over, she was impressed! Everything has a personality and it makes it harder to get rid of. Blast Toy Story. I can still hear my Cabbage Patch Doll crying from the dump. I will email when I have successfully gotten rid of some of my things.Jacquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18004534218823570202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6752448063625475106.post-170226121390364572009-09-01T00:06:53.990-07:002009-09-01T00:06:53.990-07:00Garbage day is my favorite day of the week...I lov...Garbage day is my favorite day of the week...I love waking up with the knowledge that all that trash will be taken away by the end of the day!! Much to my kids dismay, I also love cleaning out and de-junking. Cathartic is a great word for it! Yeah for not holding on to things you "might need someday" (my husband's excuse for not throwing stuff out).Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08735762400397577828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6752448063625475106.post-29153849278744219262009-08-28T13:50:33.142-07:002009-08-28T13:50:33.142-07:00Adam and I have been cleaning and getting rid of s...Adam and I have been cleaning and getting rid of stuff all day. Getting rid of stuff is one of my FAVORITE things to do. Adam, however, hates it and we have several boxes full of junk from his growing up years in the garage that he has NEVER even looked at. Yay for getting rid of things! Isn't it cathartic?Savannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01106100619960288158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6752448063625475106.post-76552896430851388722009-08-28T05:41:14.857-07:002009-08-28T05:41:14.857-07:00Oh, I am there. They are such slobs and it's nice to be able to go past their rooms and not see the mess. Plus Buttercup is such a packrat!<br />I really like Tana's idea.LCMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09302609358772748900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6752448063625475106.post-6339096731201556652009-08-27T21:41:18.563-07:002009-08-27T21:41:18.563-07:00I read a similar book. Books, Clothes, Housewares, Tolietries, ETC...When I finish using something I put it in the bag and when the bag is full, I take it to a consignment store or Goodwill or bring it to church to give to someone that may have mentioned a need. It really has worked and I feel a sense of accomplishment when I have an empty bag.Tanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16350826820598287542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6752448063625475106.post-62716118103322306522009-08-27T12:20:36.277-07:002009-08-27T12:20:36.277-07:00Ah-ha, I was a few days ahead of you. Why have I kept them, maybe thinking my kids would read them...they never did.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03868793367956906769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6752448063625475106.post-22010732293010686802009-08-27T12:00:41.916-07:002009-08-27T12:00:41.916-07:00Ha!
